The feminist movement changed one side of a functional system without renegotiating the whole. The dual income mortgage captured the second income and made the single income household unaffordable. The 1.5 shift expectation imposed on men was never agreed to and contradicts millions of years of division of labour. The system consequences are visible in birth rates. Proposes renegotiation with all variables on the table: ban dual income mortgage lending, restore cultural recognition of the domestic role, honest accounting of male obligation, genuine choice in both directions.
